Yachats Brewing

Cheers! at Yachats Brewing + Farm Store

Pub Crawl

Oregon is a special place for those of us who love craft brews. Yachats, with points north in Newport and points south in Florence, is no exception! From craft beers to hard ciders, there’s something for everyone.

Whether you prefer the hoppy style of an India pale ale, the caramel hints of an amber, or the malty richness of the darker stouts and porters, tempt your tastebuds with a great selection of locally produced craft beer.

Here, in Yachats, Yachats Brewing + Farm Store showcases a rotating tap list of its craft beers, some of which are available to take home in cans, as well, like Smoked Oyster Stout or See See Lager. In addition, there are always locally made guest hard ciders, meads and wines on the tap list. Their food is delicious, too!

Nearby, at the Yachats Underground Pub & Grub, Two Shrew Brewery crafts an English-style stout. Fans of dark beer should not miss this malt-forward and smooth brew, made on site!

Heading north to Newport, beer aficionados can enjoy several stops on a slow and leisurely pub-crawl:

  • Wolf Tree Brewery, 4590 SE Harborton St.: Always experimenting and adding new beers, Wolf Tree Brewery also serves Oregon ciders and wines. Plus, a full kitchen in the taproom serves up delicious pub fare.
  • Newport Brewing Company, 1118 Southwest Canyon Way: Makes several kinds of hand-crafted beers. Pub food is also available to-go.
  • Rogue Brewer’s on the Bay, 2320 OSU Drive: Rogue carries seasonal favorites, as well as “Legends” brews. The kitchen produces small bites, shared plates, fry piles, sliders and burgers.
  • The Taphouse at Nye Creek, 515 NW Coast St.: Rotating on tap are 32 Oregon-produced options, including beer, wine, hard cider and hard seltzers. Their menu features burgers and wood-fired pizzas.

If you’re planning a day trip to the Cape Perpetua National Scenic Area, consider heading a bit farther south to Florence and stop at Homegrown Public House & Brewery, 294 Laurel St., with local Oregon brews on tap. Homegrown’s food menu features seafood favorites and sandwiches, salads and soups, with many ingredients locally sourced.

Travelers venturing farther north or south should check out Travel Oregon’s Central Oregon Coast Food Trail. It’s full of the best the Oregon Central Coast has to offer, many craft breweries included!
