General Guest Information
Fireside guest rooms are guaranteed by 4:00 PM. We cannot guarantee an early check-in time. If you would like to request a late check-out, please chat with our front desk on the morning of your departure. We do limit these requests to ensure we can have the room sparkling clean for our next arriving guests.
The Fireside Motel lobby is open 7:30 AM–8:00 PM daily. If you will be arriving to check in after the lobby closes, please call us during business hours on the day of arrival to set up a late arrival. We will put your key cards in a lock box.

To reserve a room at The Fireside Motel, you must be 18 years of age or older. We require all minors to be accompanied by an adult in their guest room.
Yes, though all reservations must be made under the name of the guest who will be checking in, and a valid ID is required at arrival. If you wish to pay for another guest’s stay at The Fireside, please notify our staff. We can provide a credit card authorization form or help you purchase a gift certificate to cover the cost.
Reservations at The Fireside Motel can be canceled at no charge up to 72 hours prior to arrival. If the reservation is canceled within 72 hours, there will be a charge for the first night’s room rate plus tax.
The Fireside Motel is a cashless property. We accept all major debit or credit cards, as well as Fireside gift certificates. Please note that all reservations must be guaranteed with a valid debit or credit card at the time of booking. Full payment will be taken at check in.
No deposit is required when booking a room at The Fireside. Full payment will be taken at check in.
While a card is required to guarantee your stay, full payment for your room will be taken at check-in when you arrive at The Fireside.
No. The Fireside Motel does not charge resort fees as part of our Yachats, Oregon, accommodations.

To ensure a fresh and healthy environment for everyone, The Fireside Motel is a strictly smoke-free property. This policy includes tobacco, marijuana and vapes in all indoor and outdoor spaces.

Yes! Located steps from The Fireside, the beautifully appointed Overleaf Event Center accommodates up to 50 people and is the perfect venue to host your next reunion, celebration, meeting or corporate retreat.
Yes! The Fireside Motel and Overleaf Lodge & Spa are sister properties, both located just north of Yachats. Overleaf Lodge is a pet-free property, so The Fireside is the go-to choice for guests seeking oceanfront lodging on the Oregon Coast and who want to bring their pets along.
At The Fireside Motel, we serve as dedicated stewards of the Yachats area through several key practices, including community contributions to Cape Perpetua Collaborative, South Lincoln Resources & Food Share, Little Art Museum of Yachats and 804 Trail State Park, among others.
- View the Future: We contribute annually to View the Future, a local nonprofit that maintains the historic 804 Trail that runs right past our property and our sister property, the Overleaf Lodge & Spa. Along with our contributions, our guests donate $1 per night of their stay to View the Future. You can opt out and decline this contribution if you wish.
- Buying Local: We make every attempt to buy local when possible, including gift shop items, room amenities, beds and furniture.
- Hydration Stations: To discourage single-use plastic water bottles, we provide a filtered water hydration station in the lobby.
- Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations: We offer two complimentary Level 2 EV charging stations on-site.
- Waste Reduction: We have eliminated single-use plastic bottles for toiletries by installing high-quality, Oregon-made soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in every bathroom.
- Recycling: Every guest room is equipped with a blue recycling bin for plastic, cans, cardboard, and glass.
If you feel an earthquake or if an official tsunami warning is issued, walk quickly up Diversity Drive directly across Hwy 101 from the motel. Do not pack. Do not drive. Go. See our evacuation route map.

Amenities & Accommodations
To ensure your stay is as private and restful as possible, The Fireside Motel does not provide daily housekeeping. However, we are happy to provide fresh towels or additional supplies upon request. For guests staying with us four days or longer, we provide a stay-over housekeeping service, which our team will help you schedule at check-in for a time that is convenient for you.
The Fireside Motel does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but there are several wonderful dining options within a mile of the motel. If you don’t feel like leaving, The Fireside Marketplace in our lobby offers convenient grab-and-go items for purchase. We also offer thoughtfully curated gift baskets with Northwest snacks and other items for purchase; simply order 24 hours in advance.
We offer two complimentary Level 2 EV charging stations on-site, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please stop by the front desk for an RFID key to start your charge. Guests can also use the four Level 2 chargers at our sister property Overleaf Lodge & Spa, located next door. Non-guests may use any available charger for a fee via the QR code located on the unit.
Yes, Fireside guests can book spa services at the Overleaf Spa. Our comprehensive menu of professional services includes:
- Massages: We offer a variety of massage modalities and specialized body treatments tailored to your needs.
- Facials: Our aesthetic team provides high-quality facials using proven products to rejuvenate the skin.
- Spa Products: During your treatments, we use superior, environmentally conscious products from brands like Aveda, Repêchage, Keyano Aromatics and Oregon-made DANI Naturals.
The Fireside Motel does not have a swimming pool.
Every room at The Fireside Motel includes free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with cable programming, a DVD player, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a private bathroom with shower and hair dryer. Many rooms also include a fireplace and private balcony as part of our amenities. It’s comfortable, clean, cozy and right on the rocky Oregon Coast.
Not all rooms have ocean views. You can call our front desk to discuss your ideal room, or you can find specific details on our accommodations pages, which will include whether a room has an ocean view, a partial ocean view, no ocean view, a patio, balcony, fireplace, type and number of beds, etc.
Yes! Many rooms at The Fireside Motel include cozy fireplaces, making them perfect for a romantic Oregon Coast getaway or a relaxing retreat on a stormy evening. Check individual room descriptions when booking to confirm fireplace availability.
Yes! The Fireside Motel’s Storm Petrel Suite features an inviting jacuzzi with breathtaking ocean views. It’s one of our most popular rooms for couples celebrating a special occasion. We recommend booking early, as this room fills up quickly.
The Fireside Motel’s Family Nest Suite is our only unit with a full kitchen and separate bedrooms — ideal for families or groups who want a little more space and the convenience of home cooking during their Yachats stay. Other rooms include a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.
Yes! The Fireside Motel has options for families and small groups. Our Family Nest Suite offers a full kitchen, separate bedrooms and plenty of space for a family of four. There is a $10 charge per person, per night for each additional guest over age 6 beyond double occupancy. For larger groups, The Fireside also offers the Love and Lighthouse Hideaway, a pet-friendly rental house that sleeps 6-8. Contact us to find the best fit for your group. Yes. There is a pet fee of $20 per pet, per night, with a maximum of two pets per room. This fee is added at check-in. For the best room options for you and your pet, we recommend calling us directly to book or reading the room descriptions carefully, as not all rooms are pet-designated.
The Fireside Motel provides a pet package to help make your stay easy and comfortable. It includes towels to wipe off your pet after a walk or a wet adventure, sheets to cover any furnishings your pet may lounge on and baggies for clean-up on the property. To keep The Fireside pet-friendly for everyone, we ask that guests always accompany their pets on a leash when outside, not leave pets alone in the room or in a vehicle, clean up after their pets on the property and use the provided sheets to protect furnishings. Following the pet policy helps us continue to be one of the most beloved pet-friendly motels on the Oregon Coast.
The Fireside Motel could not be better positioned for a dog-friendly Oregon Coast adventure. The historic 804 Trail runs directly alongside the property, offering dramatic views of the rocky coastline and easy walks with your dog (on-leash). Follow the trail about three-quarters of a mile north to reach a seven-mile stretch of sandy beach — pure paradise for dogs. There’s also a large, wooded area on the southeast side of the property, perfect for a quiet morning stroll.
Our stunning rocky shoreline is perfect for watching powerful waves and exploring tide pools when you stay in a room at The Fireside Motel. If you’re looking for a sandy beach, you’ll find it about three-quarters of a mile north along the historic 804 Trail.
