WINTER WHALE WATCHING WEEK
Escape the valley fog! Experience a cool, clear wintery coast day while seeking a glimpse of gray whales that are passing the Oregon coast on their southward migration from the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center. It is the perfect place to view these great mammals, remaining warm and dry even if the weather changes to wetter conditions. 11:30am - 1:30 pm The visitor center has expansive, ocean facing windows and is perched 100 feet above sea level, providing a great viewing angle. Programs are scheduled for Whale Watch Week which runs December 26 through 31. Winter Whale Watch Week highlights these whales as they migrate south toward their breeding and calving lagoons.
